Ingredients
Scale
Vegetables
- 6 medium carrots
Seasonings & Oils
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Carrots: Peel the carrots and cut each one in half lengthwise. Then slice each half into 2-inch sticks for even cooking and a perfect crisp texture.
- Mix the Seasoning: In a large mixing bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, dried parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful coating.
- Coat the Carrots: Add the carrot sticks to the bowl with the seasoning mixture and toss thoroughly until every piece is evenly coated with the oil and spices.
- Prepare the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking and arrange the seasoned carrot sticks in a single layer, ensuring even air circulation during cooking.
- Air Fry the Carrots: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook the carrots for 7 minutes. After this, shake the basket to turn the carrots and cook for an additional 8 minutes until they are golden brown, tender inside, and crispy outside.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket so hot air can circulate freely.
- You can adjust the seasoning quantities to suit your taste preferences.
- Use fresh, firm carrots for the best texture and flavor.
- Serve immediately for optimal crispness; reheated carrots may lose some texture.
