Description

Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Chicken Wings made with a simple blend of seasoning salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. These wings are cooked to perfection in an air fryer, resulting in a juicy interior with a deliciously crispy skin without the need for deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into wingettes and drumettes

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Heat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes to ensure it reaches the proper temperature before cooking.
  2. Prepare the Wings: While the air fryer is preheating, coat the chicken wings evenly with oil. In a separate bowl, combine the seasoning salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the wings and toss or rub to coat all pieces evenly.
  3. Arrange Wings in Air Fryer: Place the seasoned wings in an even layer inside the hot air fryer basket. A 5.5 quart or larger air fryer can fit the full 2 pounds at once; if your air fryer is smaller, cook in batches of 1 pound.
  4. Air Fry Wings: Cook the wings at 400°F for 10 minutes. Then flip the wings and continue air frying for another 5 to 10 minutes until fully cooked through. For extra crispiness, remove half the wings and air fry them for an additional 4-5 minutes, then remove and repeat with the remaining wings for another 5 minutes.
  5. Serve: Remove the cooked wings from the air fryer and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary depending on the size of your air fryer and wings, so adjust as needed.
  • Ensure wings are spread out in a single layer for even cooking and crispiness.
  • These wings can be served with your choice of dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or hot sauce.
  • For an extra flavor boost, marinate wings in the seasoning mix for 30 minutes before cooking if time allows.
