Description
Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Chicken Wings made with a simple blend of seasoning salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. These wings are cooked to perfection in an air fryer, resulting in a juicy interior with a deliciously crispy skin without the need for deep frying.
Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split into wingettes and drumettes
Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Heat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes to ensure it reaches the proper temperature before cooking.
- Prepare the Wings: While the air fryer is preheating, coat the chicken wings evenly with oil. In a separate bowl, combine the seasoning salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the wings and toss or rub to coat all pieces evenly.
- Arrange Wings in Air Fryer: Place the seasoned wings in an even layer inside the hot air fryer basket. A 5.5 quart or larger air fryer can fit the full 2 pounds at once; if your air fryer is smaller, cook in batches of 1 pound.
- Air Fry Wings: Cook the wings at 400°F for 10 minutes. Then flip the wings and continue air frying for another 5 to 10 minutes until fully cooked through. For extra crispiness, remove half the wings and air fry them for an additional 4-5 minutes, then remove and repeat with the remaining wings for another 5 minutes.
- Serve: Remove the cooked wings from the air fryer and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
- Cooking times may vary depending on the size of your air fryer and wings, so adjust as needed.
- Ensure wings are spread out in a single layer for even cooking and crispiness.
- These wings can be served with your choice of dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or hot sauce.
- For an extra flavor boost, marinate wings in the seasoning mix for 30 minutes before cooking if time allows.
