Description
These Easy Air Fryer Donuts are a quick and delicious treat made from jumbo biscuits, coated in cinnamon sugar, and cooked to golden perfection in an air fryer. Perfect for a sweet breakfast or snack with minimal prep and cook time.
Ingredients
Scale
Doughnuts
- 1 can Jumbo Biscuits (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 5 Tablespoons butter (melted)
Topping
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Turn your air fryer on and set it to 360°F (182°C). Let it run empty for 3 to 5 minutes to ensure it’s properly heated.
- Prepare the cinnamon sugar: In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
- Prepare the biscuit dough: Open the can of jumbo biscuits and use a 1-inch round cookie cutter to cut out the centers from each biscuit, creating the classic donut shape. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with coconut oil or olive oil spray (avoid non-stick sprays like Pam as they may damage the air fryer).
- Air fry the donuts: Place the biscuit donuts (not the holes) in the air fryer basket making sure they don’t overlap. Cook at 360°F for 5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small bowl.
- Coat the donuts: Using a silicone pastry brush, brush the melted butter all over the hot donuts. Then, dip and roll each donut carefully in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat thoroughly, using a spoon to sprinkle sugar on top if needed. Shake off any excess sugar.
- Serve: Enjoy the donuts while still warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- You can use any large biscuit dough brand if Pillsbury Grands aren’t available.
- Use coconut or olive oil spray to prevent sticking and preserve your air fryer basket.
- The donut holes can be air fried as well—reduce cooking time to 3 minutes.
- Serve with coffee or hot chocolate for a tasty breakfast treat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat briefly in the air fryer to refresh.
