Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Seasoning
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Rosemary, to taste
- Olive oil, for cooking
Pasta and Sauce
- 12 oz fettuccine or preferred pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine until al dente, following package instructions. Drain well and set aside.
- Season the steak: Pat the steak strips dry and season evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary to infuse flavor before cooking.
- Cook the steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and cook until nicely browned, about 3-4 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove from skillet and set aside to rest.
- Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Gradually add the grated Parmesan and crumbled Gorgonzola cheeses, stirring continuously until the cheeses melt completely and the sauce thickens.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Toss the cooked pasta into the creamy cheese sauce, ensuring each strand is well coated. Then top with the cooked steak strips.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for a bright, fresh finish. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use a good quality steak like sirloin or ribeye for the best flavor and tenderness.
- If Gorgonzola is too strong for your taste, you can reduce the amount or substitute with blue cheese.
- Feel free to use gluten-free pasta if needed for dietary preferences.
- Let the steak rest after cooking to retain juices and improve tenderness.
- Adjust the amount of garlic according to your preference for pungency.
